My name is Arda, and I run Cheerful Canaries, a small but highly focused aviary based in Massachusetts. What started as a passion for canaries quickly grew into a dedicated breeding and showing operation centered around Gloster and Fife canaries. I’m especially drawn to producing birds with strong type, roundness, and feather quality, and I work closely with breeders in the U.S. and Europe to continually improve my lines.
This year, I’m particularly excited about refining my breeding program and preparing birds for upcoming shows. A big part of my work revolves around careful record-keeping, thoughtful pairings, and creating an environment that supports both health and top-quality feathering. I also enjoy sharing the process — from aviary setup to nutrition and conditioning — with other breeders who are just as detail-oriented and passionate about their birds.
